Out of Abu Dhabi...

I recently relocated to Portland, Oregon to move closer to my fiance, so this is my last post!

I'm going to miss a lot of good things about Abu Dhabi:

1. Precious friends:
work friends

a few Crossroads friends

2. Sunshine 360 days of the year & living in proximity to the beach!

Park Hyatt Saadiyat

3. Multiple food stores in walking distance to home & the kindness of Sama Tower guards who open the door when you return home laden with groceries.

4. Weekly cleaning help from dear Himaly & dry-cleaning laundry service from Muhamed.

5. Free yoga, pilates, and Extend Barre classes thanks to NYUAD Athletics. Amazing!

On the other hand, I won't miss:

1. Staying indoors all summer because of the heat

view from my apartment

2. Sandstorms: sand in the eyes, ears, and nose is far from pleasant!

3. Lack of recycling

4. Mail delivery time of 3-4 weeks between the UAE & the US or sometimes mail getting lost.

5. The days when Abu Dhabi runs out of things like soy yogurt or baking soda. It's also hard to find fresh lettuce at affordable prices.

6. Missing my fiancé, Scott, and communicating over skype! I am so thankful to finally live near him and spend more time together.

I praise God for every day of my life. He has provided for me beyond anything I could imagined, and I trust Him as I enter into the new adventure of marriage.

"Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the desert. By day the pillar of cloud did not cease to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst."
Nehemiah 9:19-20
